Stella Matutina is situated on the seaward side of Clifton Drive approximately 200 metres south of The White Church at Fairhaven, and some 500 metres north of Lytham Square. The extensive south-west facing grounds overlook the constantly changing vista of the Ribble estuary, to Southport and beyond.
This one-time substantial gentleman’s residence has been since 1934 in the ownership of The Sisters of Charity of Jesus and Mary, a charity founded in Belgium in 1803, and who now provide caring services in several countries throughout the world. It is this link with the Sisters that gives Stella Matutina its unique atmosphere of caring, calm, respect and dignity.
Our aim is to provide our residents with high quality care and services that respect them as individuals with their own rights and responsibilities. We hope to enable them to achieve and maintain the highest level of independence possible, and to be able to exercise choice in the way they live their lives. We want them to enjoy themselves and to live as full a life as is possible during their time with us at Stella Matutina.
As a charity we do not seek to make profits, and any excess income is used to improve services and facilities.
